Ron McElroy, Founder & President. As cofounder and president of Magna-Guard®, Ron McElroy is inspiring automobile industry professionals and retailers alike with his passionate approach to making products that increase engine life, performance, reliability and fuel efficiency. McElroy, 52, an award winning product designer and inventor, had already created more than 60 innovative aftermarket automotive products before he produced what is perhaps his simplest, yet most profound product design. His product, the Magna-Guard Oil Filter Magnet, removes ferrous metal particles from engine oil. This effectively eliminates normal engine wear and reduces toxic tailpipe emissions. Through his extensive research along with collaboration and support from other like-minded industry professionals, he is changing the way consumers and nations use oil. Formerly a cofounder of Peripheral Electronics and the creator of OEM Interface by PIE, McElroy was recognized as a leading expert of OEM-to-aftermarket integration in the mobile electronics industry. There he developed and marketed numerous automotive product innovations. These included a Best New Product Award 1998 Consumer Electronics Show-Mobile Electronics Division and a New Technology Innovation Award. Originally a native of Sacramento, he left the area to serve as
an Airborne Communications Tech in the United States Air Force before
attending Sacramento State University. McElroy now calls San Diego
home where he lives with his wife Linda. Whether it's gourmet cooking,
writing and performing music, designing state-of-the-art audio systems,
or researching and designing new products, he has an instinct for
excellence. |
